We're Jodie and Jose, the proud owners of Amour DIY Beads & More. Together for nearly 20 years, we started our business on Facebook over 8 years ago — what began as a shared love of crafting and community has grown into something truly special: a family of customers who have become lifelong friends.

But our business is about so much more than beads.

Every purchase you make helps support a cause that is deeply close to our hearts. Throughout the year, we buy toys and Canadian candy for children in the Azores, Portugal. Every Christmas, we travel there, dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus, and personally deliver those gifts — a tradition we have proudly kept alive for 9 years and counting.

Jose was born and raised in the Azores, growing up in poverty before moving to Canada in search of a better life. That journey shaped who he is, and giving back to children and families in need has always been at the core of everything we do.

Then, in July 2025, our house burned down. We lost everything.

Our first instinct was to give up — but that thought didn't last long. There were too many children counting on us. So here we are, starting fresh, rebuilding from the ground up, and more determined than ever.

Every bead, pen, keychain, and accessory you purchase goes directly toward putting smiles on children's faces this Christmas. Your support means the world to us — and to every child we visit.
